President al-Sharaa: The identity we are launching today expresses Syria which is inseparable

Damascus, SANA-President Ahmad al-Sharaa affirmed that the new visual identity of the Syrian Arab Republic, launched today, expresses  Syria which is inseparable.

President al-Sharaa said in a speech during the launch ceremony of the new visual identity at the People’s Palace in Damascus: “One day, in ancient times, the story of a city was born, where a group of people gathered. It is said that the story of the first creation began there. People multiplied, and because of their great numbers, humanity began to need to cultivate disciplined behavior. They planted, made, and built, and so on, until they built the first capital known to humanity: Damascus.”

The President added: “Whoever reviews history will find that Damascus is the beginning and end of the world’s story, and it will become clear that what we lived through during the time of the former regime was the most humiliating era in the history of Damascus.”

“Syrian people, the story of the Levant continues with you. History tells us that the era of your decline has passed, the time of your rise has come, your blood was not shed in vain, your suffering was heard, your migration has ended, your prisons have been dissolved, and patience has brought you victory.” President al- Sharaa said.

President al-Sharaa added that today’s celebration embodies the identity of Syria and its people in this new historical period, an identity that derives its characteristics from this bird of prey, from which it derives strength, determination, speed, mastery, and innovation in performance.”

The President pointed out that the identity we are launching today expresses Syria that does not accept division or partition, a unified Syria, and that cultural and ethnic diversity is a factor of enrichment, not division or conflict.

President al-Sharaa stressed that the new identity expresses building of the Syrian individual and restores the Syrian identity that has become accustomed to migration in search of security and a promising future, so that we may restore its confidence, dignity, and normal place at home and abroad.

The President continued: “All of this will only be achieved through faith, development of knowledge, and advancement of the economy. The economy is not just numbers, but a daily dignity that begins with real job opportunities, secure investment, and fair distribution, and ends with citizens’ confidence in their state and the future of their children on this blessed land.”

President al Sharaa concluded by saying: “We cannot celebrate this occasion without extending a sincere and grateful salute to all the Syrian youth who contributed to building this identity, to all those who participated in it inside and outside the country, taking the initiative, being creative, defying circumstances, and believing that beloved Syria deserves more. Thus, we declare a break with the regime of oppression and tyranny, and the beginning of a new identity for a proud country and a dignified life awaiting Syrians, delighting the hearts of onlookers. You have all proven that Syria does not lack talent, but only needs trust and embrace. And here we are, with you and from you, beginning a new page written with an inextinguishable light, God willing.”
