Damascus, SANA – Ministry of Education signed Thursday a cooperation protocol with Turkish counterpart to rehabilitate destroyed schools in Syria, expand educational opportunities for Syrian youth, and strengthen educational and cultural ties between the two countries.
The protocol, included provisions to facilitate the procedures for licensing Turkish international and private schools in accordance with Syrian laws, cooperation to equip vocational education institutions, and updating educational curricula in Syria.
According to protocol, both sides commit to developing joint projects to improve access to private education, psychological counseling services, and social support. They will also cooperate in training specialists and preparing educational materials for this purpose.
The two parties ensure the necessary facilitation and cooperation for mutual recognition of certificates and other educational documents issued within the scope of educational and pedagogical activities.
The protocol stipulates that the two sides will cooperate in providing the necessary facilities for concluding a cooperation agreement in the field of education between the two countries as soon as possible.
