Damascus, SANA – Damascus and the Syrian provinces witnessed Thursday evening massive popular celebrations to mark the launch of the new visual identity of the Syrian Arab Republic.
This significant step reflects the state’s culture and future vision, embodies the authentic values from which Syrian heritage emerged, and is in line with the aspirations and highest values of Syrians.
Thousands of citizens gathered at the Unknown Soldier Square in Damascus to participate in the celebration of the launch of the visual identity, attended by correspondents from Arab and foreign news agencies and media outlets.
The ceremony included visual and artistic performances that reflected Syria’s ancient history and symbols of its national identity.
During the ceremony, a hologram was displayed on the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, depicting landmarks from each province, in addition to a series of promotional videos that highlighted historical landmarks in Syria, such as Aleppo Citadel and Damascus city, as well as the struggle and cohesion of the Syrian people in various provinces, in addition to highlighting the symbolism of the Syrian Eagle as one of the components of the new identity.
The ceremony also witnessed a distinctive display via drones, which embodied the map of Syria, the national flag, and expressive images of the struggle of the Syrians and the people of the camps, saluting President Ahmad al-Sharaa, and recalling pivotal milestones in Syria’s contemporary history, most notably the 2011 revolution, and the pain that accompanied it, such as the regime’s helicopters dropping explosive barrels on safe neighborhoods, and honoring the symbols of the revolution, most notably the martyr Hamza al-Khatib.
The ceremony concluded with a display of fireworks and symbolic images of drones representing victory and liberation from tyranny, and raising the slogan “New Syria for all Syrians,” so that the event concluded with an image of the Syrian Eagle crowned with three golden stars symbolizing the nation’s unity, determination, and renewal of its identity.
