New York, SANA – The Deputy Special Envoy of the UN to Syria, Najat Rochdi, reiterated the commitment of the international organization and the international community to working for a better future for the Syrian people.
In a post on the X platform, Rochdi explained that she is participating in Doha, along with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Qatar Charity, and several partners from international and non-governmental organizations, research centers, and the Red Crescent, in a strategic consultative roundtable that discusses ways to strengthen humanitarian and development coordination in Syria.
Rochdi stressed that there is a shared commitment from all parties to a better future for Syrians, noting that the common goal is to boost effective coordination, localize humanitarian work, and empower local organizations, while emphasizing the importance of investing in the skills and expertise of Syrians inside and outside the country.
