Damascus, SANA-Minister of Health, Dr. Musab al-Ali, discussed with a delegation from Qatar Charity, headed by Mr. Mohammed Hardan, ways to enhance collaboration and support the health sector in Syria.
During the meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters, Dr. al-Ali outlined the significant challenges facing the healthcare system—including the reconstruction of medical facilities, provision of medical equipment, rehabilitation of the emergency response system, and securing cancer medications.
He expressed the Ministry’s readiness to cooperate with the organization in ways that serve patients’ interests, improve the quality of healthcare services, and help rebuild Syria’s healthcare system. He also commended the organization’s efforts in supporting the sector.
The delegation highlighted Qatar Charity’s ongoing work in establishing a pediatric unit at Afrin Hospital, creating a cancer center for administering treatment, and providing support with medicines and medical equipment in accordance with a plan determined by the Ministry of Health.
