Damascus, SANA- Minister of Transport Yarob Badr discussed Sunday with a delegation from the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce, ways to enhance cooperation between Syria and Austria and explore new investment opportunities in transport sector.
During the meeting with the delegation headed by Louai Kuzbari, President of the Arab-Austrian Chamber of Commerce (AACC), and Mouddar Khouja, Secretary-General, Minister Badr highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise and modern technologies, pointing to the promising investment opportunities in Syria, particularly in railway projects, infrastructure modernization, and sustainable transportation.
the Minister said that the Syrian government attaches great importance to developing the transportation system and integrating it into regional and international networks.
The two sides discussed ways of cooperation in the field of training and qualification, especially in the areas of governance and modern project management, in addition to mechanisms for launching major investment projects, with a focus on the concepts of sustainable transportation and environmentally friendly practices.
Kuzbari in his turn expressed the Chamber of Commerce’s desire to deepen economic cooperation with Syria, emphasizing Austria’s interest in participating in transportation and infrastructure projects, providing training opportunities, and building capacity in modern management.
